4.1 Engagement Requirements
To engage our professional services — including corporate tax filing, bookkeeping, GST/HST filing, tax planning, personal tax returns, business advisory, or payroll services — you must:
• Contact us to discuss your requirements
• Receive and review a written Engagement Letter outlining the scope, fees, and terms of service
• Execute the Engagement Letter by signing and returning it
• Provide all required documents, information, and authorizations in a timely manner
4.2 Client Responsibilities
As a client, you are responsible for:
• Providing complete, accurate, and timely information required for us to perform the agreed services
• Reviewing all documents, returns, and reports we prepare before signing or filing
• Notifying us promptly of any changes in your financial situation, business structure, or circumstances that may affect our work
• Making payments in accordance with the agreed fee schedule
• Maintaining your own records and backup copies of all documents provided to us
4.3 Our Professional Obligations
As Chartered Professional Accountants, we are bound by:
• The CPA Canada Code of Professional Conduct
• CPA British Columbia's professional standards and regulations
• Applicable Canadian tax law and accounting standards (ASPE, IFRS where applicable)
• Our duty of confidentiality to all clients
4.4 Fees & Payment
Our fees are outlined in your individual Engagement Letter. General terms include:
• Fees are due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing
• We reserve the right to require a retainer before commencing work
• Outstanding balances may accrue interest at a rate of 1.5% per month (18% per annum)
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate services for non-payment
• All fees are quoted and payable in Canadian dollars (CAD)
4.5 Cancellation & Rescheduling
For consultation appointments booked through Cal.com:
• You may cancel or reschedule without charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled appointment
• Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may result in a no-show fee where applicable
• We reserve the right to reschedule appointments with reasonable notice
5. Intellectual Property
All content on this Website — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, blog posts, tax guides, templates, and the overall design — is the property of Widodo CPA Corp. and is protected by Canadian copyright law and applicable intellectual property legislation.
